A Lead Systems Engineer with a strong end-to-end project life-cycle background is required to join a global Aerospace systems manufacturer.

Role: Lead Systems Engineer

As Lead Systems Engineer you will be responsible for:

+ Acting as the focal point for liaison between Sales & Marketing and the Engineering departments in the development of customer solutions
+ Design conceptual systems solutions which meet customer requirements and comply with the business case
+ Co-ordinate and contribute to the engineering inputs to bids, ensuring that the solution concepts are effectively conveyed to the bid team
+ Act as solution design authority and provide consultancy support to both the bid and project teams throughout the project life-cycle
+ Lead the engineering team from contract award through to Critical Design Review. Support the engineering team through the Verification and Validation phase of the project life-cycle
+ Mentor developing Systems Architects in the definition and design of creative and cost effective solutions that meets customer training requirements

Experience:

As Lead Systems Engineer you will have experience of:

+ Degree qualified or equivalent in Systems / Aerospace or other relevant engineering discipline
+ Experience of providing system engineering inputs into Bids & Proposals documents
+ Experience of providing technical input to senior management for strategic planning
+ In-depth knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines and broad engineering experience
+ Good people management and leadership skills
+ Sound commercial awareness, particularly of the simulation and training market place would be an advantage
