Key accountabilities - Maintenance Engineer

+ Support the equipment build and calibration teams.

+ Assist with apprentice training.

+ Identify needs for preventative maintenance on a range of equipment, pump stations, furnaces.

+ Carry out regular scheduled safety inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.

+ Carry out reactive breakdown maintenance.

+ Assist in sourcing of spare parts for equipment and setting up spare part stocks.

+ Mechanical fabrication of components for equipment repairs.

+ Suggest and implement equipment improvements.

+ Assist production engineers with technical support regarding equipment.

Skills and knowledge required - Maintenance Engineer

+ BTEC/NVQ 3 in an engineering discipline or able to demonstrate equivalent experience

+ Must be able to demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and creativity.

+ Basic understanding of technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

+ Ability to work within deadlines and budgets

+ Electrical fault finding

+ Understanding of temperature control systems

+ Understanding of Single & Three phase.

+ Fault finding of mechanical systems.

+ Strong analytical skills
