Location: Bristol

Salary: up to £48,000 basic

A world leader in aerospace engineering is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead to join their busy team based in Bristol.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will:

• Lead process creation for a large range of manufacturing capabilities, utilising the hardware and skills available in the area to meet delivery requirements.
• Drive and aid the production support for Development Assembly and a Marine Gas Turbine assembly line.
• Be an advocate for lean and agile behaviours to streamline assembly tasks, investigating new ways of working and identifying investment/improvement opportunities.
• Drive right-first-time improvements throughout the facility which deliver improved business results and customer satisfaction.
• Liaise with the operations teams to communicate deliverables and appropriately priories the teams tasks.
• Undertake short/medium term load and capacity planning for your area of the business.
• Support MEM with resourcing to ensure the team has the correct skills to deliver customer expectations. Support employee development, performance and behaviour within their own team in line company procedures.

Experience/Skills required:

• Professionally qualified engineer (e.g. UK minimum HND/Foundation degree or other national equivalent) preferred but not essential.
• Strong knowledge of a range of Manufacturing/Assembly techniques and operations.
• Experience of leading and managing teams within an Operations Business.
• Can resolve complex problems and provide solutions whilst remaining focussed on priority tasks. Results oriented with a proven track record of delivering excellent business results.
• Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to drive and motivate others.
