A market leading technology company are seeking a Manufacturing Manager - Planning / Buying to contribute to and deploy the annual Planning and Procurement strategy across the site . This will require measuring and analysing KPI's and taking corrective action . This role will include the management of a team . This role requires a background in High Value , Low Volume Manufacturing


+ Contribute to the Manufacturing Planning and Procurement Strategy and effectively deploy within the department

+ Be actively involved in the budgeting , capacity planning and business planning processes ensuring the product is delivered on time to meet customer demand

+ Monitor the alignment of the Planning and Procurement Strategy with overall Manufacturing Strategy

+ Deploy , deliver , measure and analyse KPI and take corrective actions where needed.

+ Manage , forecast and control budgets and overall levels of manufacturing inventory

+ Review Manufacturing orders and take action to align them to ensure labour and material control is maintained

+ Manage the relationship with inbound and outbound logistics suppliers

Skills / Experience

+ Professional qualifications / Experience in Operations management desirable

+ Team management capability

+ Ability to effectively deploy resources to meet business needs , promoting cross-functional , cross-organisational , cross-regional collaboration and a performance / efficiency culture

+ Extensive business experience with a focus on manufacturing in an advanced technology / industrial environment with high demands on quality essential

+ Track record of Change Management experience in an international environment with cross culture / location management is desirable

+ Experience of production scheduling and planning using ERP systems essential

+ Understanding the business environment and outlining where it impacts on Supply Chain Planning preferred

+ Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles preferred

+ Able to use quality tools such as A3 planning , fishbone diagrams and statistical analysis to provide information to drive and influence change within Manufacturing
