Manufacturing Production Planning Lead

Role: Manufacturing Production Planning Lead
Location: Horsham/Redhill site responsibility
(time spent between the two)
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000
(depending on experience)

This role is responsible for leading a small team to manage all production planning activities for two sites and to effectively optimise both current and future development capacity

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain and manage the Scheduling System to support Operations and Projects.

  • Review scheduling requirements and ensure work orders are manufactured within deadlines.

  • Produce weekly / monthly reports as required.

  • To develop and maintain a Sales and Operations Planning process, presenting monthly to senior operation and commercial leadership team

  • Provide support with the introduction of new products to ensure operational planning requirements are completed on time and within budget.

  • Support Manufacturing and Technical leadership team as necessary to ensure production team meet / exceed goals

  • Support departmental performance metrics KPI's and provides regular progress reports to Senior Leadership

  • Maintain BOM and master data as required

  • To work closely with the procurement team carrying out forecasting and inventory analysis for future purchasing decisions

  • To contribute to CI initiatives to enhance throughput , product and service levels to our customers

Essentials

  • Proficiency with ERP Systems and MS products

  • Good working knowledge of MRP process

  • Project , planning and resource management skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly at all levels of the organisation

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information

  • Effective in making decisions under pressure

  • Ability to adjust to multiple demands , shifting work priorities , ambiguity , adversity , and change

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings , specifications , and knowledge of change control methods and processes

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced team environment
