The Company
A family run manufacturing company, which produce complex parts and assemblies into various industries including Aerospace & Defence, Rail and Commercial markets. Using state of the art CNC machinesn as well as the more traditional manual turning and milling this company has seen huge growth in both their workforce and expanding and modernising their facilities.
Duties of the Quality Engineer:
You will be required to work closely with the Quality Manager and Production team and run a twice-weekly 'Quality Clinic' to put processes in place to ensure that ongoing manufacturing issues are dealt with and corrected. This is a high impact role and you will be expected to deputise for the Quality Manager when required. You will have both supplier and customer contact, so a motivated and professional approach is essential.
Responsibilities:
QA lead within Manufacturing
Support and Promote KPI monitor and measurement for Manufacturing
Ensure inspection procedures are followed
Manager supplier quality and technical issues
Liaise with relevant staff and customers on QA and technical issues
Promote 5s improvement within the leadership team
Assist in investigation and resolution of audit deficiencies in Manufacturing
Support Audit activity within Manufacturing
Supplier Audits were required and conduct Internal Audits where required
Knowledge & Experience:
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of various ISO standards including ISO9001 & AS9100 REV D
Inspection and Auditing experience
Experience with Quality methodologies such as 5s
