Role: Materials Deposition Process Development Technician
Location: Horsham, West Sussex
Salary: Up to £25,000

Purpose of the Materials Deposition Process Development Technician:

To carry out materials deposition process development-related activities.

Key accountabilities of Materials Deposition Process Development Technician:

  • Ensure development project deadline and tasks are satisfied

  • Support teams through operating machines related to deposition process development (screen printing, other processes) and inspection of products as required

  • Provide input to teams with relevant results, reports and data as required

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, equipment and instruments in accordance with standard

  • Maintain adequate stocks of tooling and raw materials to complete the required processes and report any shortages

  • Provide training to relevant employees on the coating process development technique and associated quality control processes

Experience required for Materials Deposition Process Development Technician:

  • Experience of operating equipment related to process (eg printing, spraying, etc)

  • Previous quality control measurement and reporting experience

  • Experience of working in controlled areas, eg clean room

Qualifications/skills required for Materials Deposition Process Development Technician:

  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to follow written instruction

  • Good attention to detail with excellent prioritisation and follow-up skill

  • Basic It skills, evidence of numeracy and skills (including proficiency with MS Office applications)

  • Hard working and flexible with a 'can do' attitude

  • Energetic and self-starting

  • Ability to work as part of a team
