Mechanical Design Engineer (Contract)

Based in West Sussex

Flexible on rate depends on experience (Inside IR35)

Our client, an innovative Design and Manufacturing business are currently in the market for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join them on a on a contract basis. They operate in the defence sector and are specialist in Tracking and Survelliance equipment. The contract could last up to 12 months.

Your Duties

• Designing Electro-Mechanical products
• Produce Designs in 3D CAD using Solidworks
• Testing and providing Analysis on Stress, Fatigue and Vibration
• Create Engineering & Assembly technical documentations
• Develop Engineering reports for NPD's and failures
• Support other teams such as Production, Test, Bids, Sales etc

You must have

• A relevant degree, ideally within Mechanical Engineering
• Previous experience from a Highly Regulated Engineering / Manufacturing sector
• Previous experience designing highly complex mechanisms
• Full experience of the Design lifecycle - Concept to Test / Production
