Mechanical Fitter (Contract)

Based in Littlehampton West Sussex

Up to £25.00 per hour 6 months (inside IR35)

My client and I are looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their production team. My client is a specialist in protection solutions for the Automotive and Defence industry. They have a new exciting project coming into the business and they need an experienced Mechanical Fitter to assemble and install their products on their bespoke vehicles.

The Role - Mechanical Fitter (Contract)

Hands on assembly work includes:

• Reading technical drawings and schematics
• Assembling both mechanical and electrical components
• Inspection activities
• Working with different mechanical equipment and various chemicals
• Support continuous improvement activities
• Comply with quality and testing procedures

Skills/Experience - Mechanical Fitter (Contract)

• A minimum of a C&G L3 or similar on automotive engineering or vehicle systems
• Automotive background
• At least 5 years industry experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes
