A short term contract role is now available for a Biomedical Engineer at a large NHS Trust based in the Greater Manchester area.
The contract will initially be for 3 months and you will be required to assist in clearing an equipment backlog along with carrying out service, repair and maintenance on a wide range of medical equipment.
This EBME Engineer position will be suitable for any band 5 (or equivalent) engineers upwards.
Duties will include:
Acceptance testing a range of medical equipment within the trust
Service and repair work on a range of devices such as ECG's, patient monitors, infusion pumps, diathermy machines, BP monitors, defibrillators etc.
Checking documentation and carry out other administration tasks as required
Fault finding and repair work
Provide technical advice to clinical and non-clinical staff
Prior Medical Engineering experience in the NHS
Experience carrying out service and repair work on a range of medical equipment such as infusion devices, diathermy, defibrillators, ECG's, patient monitors, syringe drivers, anaesthesia machines, ventilators etc.
Excellent communication and organisational skills
