The role

As a Repair and Service Engineer working for a community NHS Trust you will work as part of the Medical Devices Department providing service, validation, repair, calibration and maintenance to a wide range of community medical, diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.

The department ensures the availability of Medical Devices, Blood Pressure Monitors, Pulse Oximetry, Thermometers, Weighing Scales, Oxygen Therapy etc. As part of this role you will therefore have to deliver medical devices to teams within the NHS Trust throughout Hertfordshire, with occasional travel to Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. For this you will use your own vehicle and expense back the cost of travel/mileage.

What is required to apply?

As a minimum you will need;

  • Electronic or electrical maintenance or repair experience

  • Valid UK drivers' licence

  • Experience using a computer database for job management

  • Minimum of HNC degree in electronic engineering (or equivalent)

  • Your own vehicle

  • Team worker

  • Good communication

Any of the following is NOT essential but is beneficial;

  • Experience working on medical devices

  • Computer/IT skills

  • Degree qualified
