Medical Engineer - Workshop
Basic salary of up to £40,000
A new exciting role for a workshop based Medical Service and Repair Engineer is now available, within a growing organisation who repair and restore medical and veterinary equipment. As the Medical Engineer your role will involve the service, fault find and repair of medical equipment such as patient monitors, theatre equipment, anaesthesia, diathermies etc.
Job Information - Medical Engineer - Bristol
Based in their workshop in Bristol, you will be involved with the strip down and re-assembly of medical equipment, in order for it to be updated, fixed and sold on for reuse.
This is a great opportunity for a Medical Engineer to work within an expanding, up and coming business with "family-run" values business, with flexible working hours.
Training is provided for those that want to up skill or become certified on new equipment, however some medical engineering experience is required.
Duties/Responsibilities - Medical Engineer - Bristol
Carrying out repair and maintenance on various types of highly complex diagnostic and therapy equipment.
First, second, and in some cases third line service for a wide range of preowned and new equipment.
Provide telephone assistance to customers and ensuring quality related responsibilities are completed in a timely manner.
Arranging & conducting training for customers.
Resolve technical queries arising from other internal departments and customers, either directly or through liaison with OEM.
Developing a detailed technical understanding of a wide range of medical devices.
Skills/Experience required - Medical Engineer - Bristol
Medical Engineering background - candidates would come from a background in the military/REME as a Medical and Dental Engineer, the NHS as a Biomedical, EBME or EME Engineer or a third party, multi-vendor service engineering company as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer and Repair Engineer etc.
Good communication skills both written and verbal
HNC or equivalent in and Engineering discipline
Proficient IT skills
Must have a UK driving licence as the role will involve travel to customer sites at an estimated 20% of the time
