Medical Field Service Engineer

Hampshire and West London

£26-35,000 + van, vitality health, death in service and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)

A leading, reputable provider of medical engineering services is seeking a field service engineer to cover the Hampshire and West London areas.

The company supply their services to a vast range of clients such as the NHS, Emergency and Rescue and the private healthcare sector. Having grown to become one of the most successful providers of medical maintenance in the UK, they are able to offer excellent progression and development opportunities.

Job outline:

You would be required to carry out service, maintenance, repair and fault finding on a range of low to medium risk medical equipment predominantly working at community sites such as GP surgeries, community hospitals, rehab centres etc. Medical devices may include BP monitors, medical scales, thermometers, defibrillators etc.

Other key accountabilities will include:

  • Ensure service reports are completed in accordance with Quality Processes

  • Liaise with customers regarding scheduled visits and corrective repairs.

  • Ensure customers receive the highest quality support for all contracted services.

  • Provide on-site technical solutions in support of contracted services

  • Liaise with Service Desk to ensure service delivery meets the KPI's.

  • Maintain effective quality systems to comply with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485

  • Providing customer service support to the Team Leader

The ideal candidate will be based between Lymington, Basingstoke and Portsmouth in order to effectively covering a territroy including Hampshire and West London.

Experience/skills required:

  • Experience calibrating, servicing or repairing medical devices such as ECG's, BP monitors, patient monitors, pulse oximeters or defibrillators etc.

  • Excellent communication

  • Good customer service skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a field based team

  • Willing to travel as part of a field based role

  • UK driving license
