JobDescription:

Our client has a new opportunity for someone to join their design team studios. They will be part of a skilled design team who work across multiple technical disciplines and industry sectors with some of the world's biggest brand names. You will involves in designing compute and cloud solutions with the opportunity to work with industry leading technologies. Working into multi team deliveries you will work alongside experienced designers and be responsible for leading and delivering solution designs to meet customer requirements.

You will be provided with on the job learning and instructor lead training to grow your capability and skills with a focus on achieving external qualifications. As your capability grows you will have a greater influence on technology choices with innovative and complex solution designs, leveraging leading edge technologies such as software defined datacentres, cyber security, machine learning and automation.

Technical skills required:

You will be expected to know Microsoft Office and VISIO for document creation and to be able to articulate a design at a high level to peers, plus will have a strong understanding of at least 4 technologies and active knowledge of the majority from the list below

  • Microsoft Windows operating systems

  • Microsoft Windows Server roles and features

  • Microsoft Active Directory domain services, Group policies

  • Microsoft Products: Forefront, Office 365, Skype, SQL, System Centre

  • Linux based operation systems

  • Datacentre server infrastructure and/or desktop infrastructure

  • Shared storage, backup and recovery technologies

  • Virtualisation and containerisation: AWS, Azure, VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V, Docker

  • Network, Layer2/3 and TCP/IP fundamentals

  • Scripting and automation, PowerShell and SQL

  • Security hardening and cyber security principles

  • Private, Hybrid or public cloud solutions

  • Mobility solutions
