The successful candidate will work as part of a team on all phases of the project life cycle including design, demonstration, development, production and customer support.
Key Responsibilities - Modelling & Simulation Engineer
Both analytical and advanced finite element stressing methods are used to determine failure modes, failure loads and safety factors. Implicit within the stress analysis is the thermal analysis to determine component temperatures.
In depth analysis, commercial programs such as Fluent and Abaqus are used.
Static testing is conducted in their own structural test facility where combined pressure, bending and torsional loads are applied across a wide temperature range
Extensive testing is carried out on materials and components to gather design data and verify performance.
Specific training in the above topics will be provided to suitable candidate with the right background and qualifications.
Candidates should have strong mathematical skills, with a good degree in engineering, physics or mathematics, and a good understanding of the basic principles of fluid dynamics and numerical simulation.
