Job Description
This role requires an experienced System Network Design Architect and Integration Engineer to work closely with the System Design Authority (DA), the Engineering manager and Development team.
This position is ideally suited to a self-motivated Engineer who has demonstrable experience in the a Network Engineering role and can further demonstrate good working knowledge of systems engineering; systems integration / test and has a proven track record of delivering systems to time, quality and budget.
Working on the full life-cycle from Design to Implementation, including, (but not limited to) Network Design, integration, testing and verification and full documentation (Design, Test Scripts, reports Setting to Work and configuration), resulting in an integrated operational system that can be used for Customer witnessed events and final installation.
Essential:
A degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline or proven track-record / industry experience
Demonstrable experience of the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements management, system design process including system and sub-system specification, and product verification and validation.
Network Architecture Design
IP Networking
Knowledge of Network Switch configurations / VLAN Separation
Routing (Static and Dynamic)
Firewalling (PALO-ALTO Beneficial)
Security
Traffic Flow Analysis and Control
LAN / WAN
IP Addressing / VLSM
Windows Server network implementation and Control
HW based router / switch appliances.
System Integration
System Testing
Ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation.
System-level thinker
Stakeholder management
A proven track record in schedule adherence / delivery and achieving high standards.
Strong team player.
Self-motivated with an aptitude to problem solving and ability to drive difficult issues to conclusion, i.e. a finisher.
