Duration: 6 Months initially + extensions

Oracle SQL Developer: You will join a leading blue chip consultancy and work on a client project to deliver an interface between two disparate government agency systems. The role will see you developing and maintaining database functionality and components either working individually, or in support of other team members, manage and resolve incidents, problems and changes when required. The Oracle Software Engineer takes personal responsibility for producing quality database code and solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Manages and completes development tasks, investigates and resolves problems and provides changes to meet team and client timescales.

• Can develop requirements into a fully implemented solution, using logical and physical data definitions to construct appropriate SQL and/or PL/SQL and can quickly understand concepts, requirements, designs.

• Understands and adheres to quality and security standards and processes applicable to role, delivering work in accordance with internal, client and local quality standards.

• Understands and uses the local application lifecycle tools as part of work tasks, including SQL Developer and TOAD, Docker, Git, Azure and Visual Studio, primarily in Windows environments.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Development of DB code using SQL and PL/SQL

• Ensuring code quality through Unit Testing, Peer Review, Coding Standards

• Working collaboratively as part of an Agile Delivery Squad and fortnightly drumbeat​
