looking for a Lead Engineer who is currently looking to expand their knowledge and skills working in a fast-paced environment. You will apply those skills to:
Utilise a broad spectrum of technology and devices to produce part or all of the technical solution for our clients.
Apply depth and breadth of technical knowledge and be individually responsible for the design, scope and delivery of devices within a field of expertise.
Contribute to knowledge tools, processes, communities and ensure learnings are shared for reuse.
Core Skills and Experience
Significant professional experience in peripheral engineering.
Minimum of 5 years IT industry experience.
Good working experience of design, implementation, and support of Peripheral devices for multiple environments.
Experience of troubleshooting hardware devices and peripherals. This will include inspecting GPOs, software distribution methods, and other tooling, to determine the root cause of defects and advising on appropriate methods of remediation.
Working knowledge of peripheral device drivers, software and the appropriate implementation of these in a secure environment.
Working knowledge of the Software Distribution product suite over multiple product versions, including Radia/HPCA, SCCM, or other enterprise software distribution toolsets.
Good level of exposure to both physical and virtual environments. Experience working with Citrix would be beneficial.
Ability to take participate in, or take ownership of a large scale project and liaise with the customer to contribute to the technical design of customer solutions.
Ability to produce design documentation including higher level designs, lower level designs, installation, and operation guides as well as technical notes and knowledge base documentation within medium to large scale Software Distribution solutions, considering infrastructure and environmental factors.
Experience of using Active Directory as an administrator.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Working knowledge of desktop and server computer systems, storage, network and interfaces.
Good understating of network protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, TCP etc..)
Microsoft certifications in relevant technical areas preferred but not essential
ITIL Accreditation preferred but not essential
Working knowledge of Microsoft Group Policy
Working knowledge of Symantec Endpoint Protection
Moderate Scripting skills to support software distribution & troubleshooting
