Platform Engineer x 2 - DV Cleared - London - £675 a day

You will join a global IT consultancy who are supporting a central government agency. You will be part of a small platform team who are maintaining and progressing the client's virtual estate.

+++ Due to the nature of the end client you require active DV Clearance +++

You will:

• Diagnose and solve problems with the system in live and non-production

• Increase the efficiency of system deployments, freeing up more time for development opportunities

• Automate 'from-the-ground-up' full system deployments using Ansible and other automated deployment tools

• Assist the client in their 'Journey to the cloud' understanding Hybrid cloud and migration strategies

• Understand the challenges of legacy workloads and how to 'lift and shift' from older environments to later technology

• Facilitate the journey from Isolated and zone based networks to Zero Trust Implementation

• Assist as part of a team on the design components of systems.

Your skills and experience:

• Linux (Red Hat / CentOS)

• Virtualisation (VMWare)

• Containerisation (Docker/Docker Compose)

• Automation (Ansible)

• Cloud Computing
