A global leading aerospace and defence organisation are looking to recruit a Principal Mechanical Engineer to play a key role in the delivery of acceptance activities for systems that are being integrated.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to be involved with a variety of equipment. You will also have the chance to bring innovation to help improve the way acceptance activities are delivered on future programmes.
Key responsibilities of a Principal Mechanical Engineer -
+ Managing the requirements flow for equipment for both internal and external suppliers.
+ Liaising with equipment suppliers in order to perform qualification, test, and requirements management aspects of integration.
+ Production of reports, technical specifications and statement of requirements documents and overseeing contractors carrying out the production of cabinet modification packs and integration activities.
+ Supporting the technical authority in this area to provide certification for safety and compliance of mechanical systems.
+ Supporting and reviewing shock and environmental qualification with the potential to help develop strategies and solutions for improved design performance.
Skills and knowledge required -
+ Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
+ Mechanical design experience.
