A world leader in manufacturing/designing tracking and surveillance systems for the Defence industry have a requirement for a Principal Test Engineer to join their test department. This role is leadership position as you will leading mentoring a team of skilled test and development engineers.

The Role - Principle Test Engineer - West Sussex

• Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager you will reporting back the test results the engineers have obtained
• Creating test procedures and FAT documents
• Manage the engineers undertaking the factory acceptance tests
• Fault find Electro-mechanical equipment
• Read complex technical drawings, wiring diagrams and PCB schematics
• Communicate with other departments
• Maintain ISO9001 quality standards
• Support field service when required

Experience/Skills required - Principle Test Engineer - West Sussex

• Strong experience of manual testing with electrical and electro-mechanical systems
• Able to write test plans and factory acceptance test for new products
• HNC or equivalent in electronics engineering or similar
• Knowledge of manual test and integration
• Computer literate
• Knowledge of automated test software or PLC Programming or CAD is desirable
