Process Engineer - Epitaxy

Process Engineer - Epitaxy: You will provide Epitaxy (MOVPE) Process Engineering support to the manufacturing teams. The role will primarily entail day to day production process support with a view to minimising scrap and cycle time whilst providing process support to the manufacturing team and NPI teams.

Your responsibilities:

  • Providing epitaxy process guidance to the Epitaxy manufacturing team.

  • Continuous improvement activities based on SPC and 6-sigma principles.

  • Working within a cleanroom environment with the prerequisite use of cleanroom clothing.

  • Working with various computer software packages including specialist or bespoke computer systems.

  • Prepare and review technical documentation in order to provide effective support to the Epitaxy manufacturing team and the wafer fab.

Your Attributes:

  • Experience of computer-controlled semiconductor processing equipment or vacuum systems.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (MES) such as PROMIS and MES concepts such as product re-work procedures, task scheduling, data collection and SPC.

  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities, especially with regard to the scheduling and planning of work flows.

  • Competent PC user (including the use of Microsoft Office).

  • Desirable:

  • Wide ranging knowledge of semiconductor fabrication techniques especially with regard to the fabrication of III-V based devices.

  • Knowledge of photonic integrated circuit manufacture would be an advantage.
