Product Development Manager

Waterlooville Hampshire (Remote working only 1 day in the office)

Up to £55,000

An industry leader in hygiene and pest control sector are looking for a Product Development Manager on a permanent basis. This role is not a man management position it is a role that you will be hands on and managing/leading the processes within product development. You will take control in managing the technical development and delivery of my clients new and existing products.

The Role - Product Development Manager - Hampshire

The Product Development Manager will manage the technical activities within product development and be a part of the technical changes from the design concept to the production of the product. It will be your job to ensure that the technical workstream activities are delivered on time and to the correct specifications. These are some of day-to-day responsibilities you will be involved in:

  • Lead the product change process
  • Work with third party suppliers to develop solutions to reduce product faults
  • Drive product cost reduction activities
  • Approve and record product documentation
  • Work with wider engineering teams such as design, project and production to ensure your keeping with the project time constraints

Key Skills/Experience - Product Development Manager - Hampshire

  • Degree qualified in an engineering discipline or substantial experience
  • 7 + years' experience in working with Product Development
  • Previous experience with Electro-mechanical design and engineering
  • Good understanding of plastic injection moulding
  • Strong communicator
  • Proven success in developing a product from scratch
  • Analytical thinker and problem solver
