Responsibilities:

  • We provide full product lifecycle support across a portfolio of vacuum devices, used in commercial, defence and novel applications.

  • The primary focus of the role is to support manufacturing in meeting production output, on time delivery (OTD) whilst adhering to strict quality standards.

  • Improvement activities, product failure analysis and reporting on customer returns.

  • There are opportunities to develop knowledge and skills within several unique sectors such as vacuum processes, the use of exotic materials and RF testing.

  • Improve product quality; DFMEA, PFMEA, control plan; Plan and implement continuous improvement activities, challenge convention where necessary.

Experience

  • Experience in an engineering role in a manufacturing environment.

  • Degree in a relevant engineering subject or equivalent qualification.

  • A working knowledge in at least one of the following: electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, manufacturing, quality; production; RF testing.

  • Understanding of the quality and problem solving toolsets: - e.g.: CI, Lean & Six Sigma methodology, 8D, A3, Root Cause Analysis.
