Product Environmental Test Engineer

Southampton, Hampshire

£250 pd

A well known Engineering client are looking for a Product Environmental Test Engineer to work on the next generation of their electro-mechanical products. Your role will be to strength the current testing standard across different platforms, build up a standardized test ecosystem which including test plan, protocol & standards as well correspond test equipment to be able to support a sustainable device development need.

Skills Required:

  • Extensive knowledge of testing and validation, using various protocols and quality tools to ensure product meeting standard requirement.

  • Familiar with engineering tests including (but not limited to) climate & environmental, mechanical reliability and durability, electrical and software, chemicals as well as some other specialized test that is relevant to liquid, aerosol and other combustibles, or regulatory certification test

  • Working knowledge of creating test standard, formalize protocol and test setup using various test machine and equipment

  • Knowledge and understanding of product development processes

  • Working knowledge of international safety standards for consumer electronics products

  • Working knowledge about the general quality tools like FMEA, 8D or six sigma .etc

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in mechanical or material engineering field, with specialization in testing or product quality control

  • 3+ years of experience in an electronic device industry or similar

  • Previous experience in development testing or product quality engineering

  • In-depth knowledge of different testing methodologies, facilities, procedures and industry standards

  • Previous experience working as a member of a development team
