A Product Support Specialist with a strong background in Network Engineering is required to join a Global Aerospace company supporting their international customers.

Role: Product Support Specialist

As Product Support Specialist you will be responsible for:

+ Provide remote and occasional on-site technical guidance for all products and services, including flight deck and cabin communications systems
+ Provide support for avionics systems includes VHF data link, Inmarsat and Iridium data, voice, and internet services
+ Provide avionics configuration support, troubleshooting support, and comprehensive training on the use of product applications to a diverse customer base
+ Identify obstacles to product growth and propose solutions/action items. Serve as a customer advocate and as an internal customer for product enhancements
+ Setup and configure test bench equipment for cockpit and cabin communication product support

Experience:

As Product Support Specialist you will have experience of:

+ Degree Qualified or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline
+ CompTIA Certifications (i.e. A+, Network+, Security+) either current or able to obtain within 2 years of being hired

+ Experience with ACARS and SATCOM systems in both the flight deck, telephony and cabin environments
+ Experience avionics maintenance technician, system troubleshooting, and system verification testing
+ Troubleshooting on-board cabin networks and telephony issues with various interfacing systems regarding cabin management
+ Working knowledge of Inmarsat and Iridium satellite constellation systems would be advantageous
+ Experience with network infrastructure, wireless technology, embedded and real-time operating systems, mobile IP, broadband techniques and data structures, associated system security and open architectures
+ Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including multiple shifts and on-call in support of 24/7 operations, including weekends, holidays and emergency leave
