Production Build Technician

Royston Hertfordshire

12 Month contract up to £15.00 per hour

My Client who designs and manufactures high-end Laboratory and Pharmaceutical equipment are looking for a skilled mechanical biased Production Build Technician. As they have significantly expanded their product range and need more top quality Production technicians. This role is very important to them as you play a key role to producing quality builds in an efficient manner.

Key Job Tasks & Responsibilities - Production Build Technician - Hertfordshire

+ Work hands on as part of the assembly team to assemble, wire and test products.
+ Follow a defined process accurately.
+ Work within the Production Engineering team to continuously identify design, process and efficiency improvements.
+ Ensure that production documentation is correctly recorded and is kept up to date.
+ Effective communication with the Cell Leader(s) to maintain maximum efficiency of the Cell(s).
+ Work as part of the team to ensure work is completed to required timescales, output and quality targets.
+ Involved in the implementation and maintenance of lean manufacturing philosophies.

Experience/skills - Production Build Technician - Hertfordshire
+ Experience of working in a technical manufacturing, production or assembly environment.
+ Knowledge in mechanical assembly techniques.
+ Understanding of mechanical fault finding.
+ Able to read and understand basic mechanical drawings.
+ Mechanical build skills.
+ Able to skilfully use a wide range of engineering hand tools.
+ Able to fit and route wiring harnesses.
+ Able to follow a defined process without deviation.
+ Able to inspect and identify faulty components against a drawing.
