Location: Royston
Contract length: 6 month (likely to extend with potential to go permanent)
Rates: between circa £11ph and £13ph

A market leading engineering business operating in the Biotech and Pharmaceutical industries are seeking a Production Operative to be responsible for the hands on assembly and testing of products. You will also work with the production team and other internal functions to continuously identify design , process and efficiency improvements. The goal is to ensure work is completed to required timescales, output and quality targets

Training can be provided for the right candidate. Some experience within a production/ manufacturing environment is desirable.

Responsibilities of Production Operative

  • Hand assembly of intricate plastic and metallic products

  • Manage high quality build in an efficient manner

  • Follow defined processes, accurately

  • Prepare the materials required for weekly production

  • Ensure that production documentation is correctly recorded and is kept up to date.

  • Effectively communicate with the Team Leader to maintain the efficiency of the cell(s).

  • Ensure that the production tooling is in good operable condition and report / liaise with engineering if repairs are required

  • Pack completed consumables in the correct packaging

  • Enter data into the production records as required
