Production Planning Lead

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

A technology innovator in renewable energy specialising in Fuel Cell technology is seeking a Production Planning Lead.

This role is responsible for leading a small team to manage all production planning activities. A key part of this role is the effective optimisation of both current, future and development capacity.

Responsibilities and Duties - Production Planning Lead

  • Maintain and manage the Scheduling System to support Operations and Projects.

  • Review scheduling requirements and ensure work orders are manufactured within deadlines.

  • Produce weekly / monthly reports as required.

  • To develop and maintain a Sales and Operations Planning process, presenting monthly to senior operation and commercial leadership team.

  • Provide support with the introduction of new products to ensure operational planning requirements are completed on time and within budget.

  • Support Manufacturing and Technical leadership team as necessary to ensure the production team meets and/or exceed key goals.

  • Support departmental performance metrics KPI's and provides regular progress reports to Senior Leadership.

  • Maintain BOM and master data as required.

  • To work closely with the procurement team carrying out forecasting and inventory analysis for future purchasing decisions

  • To contribute to CI initiatives to enhance throughput, product and service levels to our customers.

Requirements - Production Planning Lead

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with ERP Systems and MS products

  • Good working knowledge of MRP process

  • Project, planning and resource management skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly at all levels of the organization

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information

  • Effective in making decisions under pressure

  • Focused on results with the ability to work to deadlines

  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication and listening skills.

  • Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting work priorities, ambiguity, adversity, and change.

  • Good analytical and business judgment including demonstrated problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and knowledge of change control methods and processes
