Programme Management Support - Senior PMO

+ 10 month initial contract

+ MOD Specific Project experience required

+ £450-500 per day

Responsible for assisting the MoD 'Defence Digital' (DD) Integrated User Services (IUS) Project to develop the Programme Management approach and Stakeholder engagement plan for delivery of a new Supplier contract supporting MOD's future technical requirements under a major ICT procurement option, Plan Governance and procurement steps necessary to establish the Fixed Voice, Conferencing and Mobile Voice and Data Services requirement 2020+

Responsibilities will include;

  • Key responsibility - To understand; the Baseline service delivery architectures, volumes & geography, to understand future 'requirements', to plan and manage Industry engagement and MOD Governance approvals for achieving plan

  • Key Responsibility - To provide Programme Management expertise within the Industry engagement process, development of Strategic Outline Case (SOC) including detailed cost modeling and business benefits mapping.

  • Act as day to day Programme/Project Management interface for IUS Futures Programme of works

  • Identification of Programme delivery issues, providing briefs, recommendations for issue resolution and managing associated risk.

  • Ensure that DD procurement policies are adhered to and reported against

  • Ensure any cost modelling (Project resources, Supplier options, dependency delivery etc) are robust and are fully understood by Client

  • Develop & manage the Stakeholder engagement plan

Essential requirements:

  • In depth understanding of the MOD environment, its Governance bodies and procurement policy stakeholders.

  • Detailed knowledge and experience of Programme cost modelling & financial management

  • Certified Programme or Project Management qualifications (MSP, Prince2, APMP)

  • Experience in ICT change programmes through procurement, contract award and on-boarding.


  • Experience of; requirements assurance, Industry engagement and solution evaluation (financial bias) within an ICT Procurement programme.

  • Understanding of IP telephony & Video Conferencing services including public & private cloud solutions, Skype for Business (Enterprise level) solutions.

  • Relevant ICT or data telecommunications Qualifications
