Programme Manager

A leading Aerospace and Defence organisation are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to provide leadership and management within the support and service solution line of the business.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for applying effective people management and leadership to develop, enhance and deliver against multiple project activities of varying complexity and the role includes aspects such as demonstrated financial performance, strategic direction, product development and business growth.

Key responsibilities -

+ Manage and lead the ongoing development and/or improvement of relationships with customers and suppliers for current and future projects.

+ Provide direct line management, leadership, feedback, career development and performance management of junior Project Management staff.

+ Develop and maintain communication and collaboration.

+ Anticipate, mitigate and manage dependencies, risks and synergies in support of increased business performance.

Skills and knowledge required -

+ Proven experience as a Programme Manager or other managerial position

+ Experience of remotely managing of multi-disciplined teams to deliver multi million pound development and production projects, with a focus on achieving high performance against objectives

+ Demonstrated ability to influence both internally and externally at all levels, including senior management.

+ Good computer literacy, including all Microsoft Office applications and SAP functions related to Project execution, cost control and planning.

+ Working knowledge and experience of policies & practices in particular related to Life Cycle Management, Risk Management and Project Execution.
