Monday - Friday (32.5 hrs per week)
One of the UK's leading suppliers of high-end sterilisation and quality process equipment is now recruiting for a Project Engineer to join their technical engineering team to work alongside their technical experts.
Company information
They are a prestigious, niche business working exclusively with 3 Italian manufactures who work with a number of high-status pharmaceutical organisations carrying service, repair and installation on sterile process equipment such as steam sterilisers, isolators and steam generators.
Role & Responsibilities - Project Engineer
Understand client's specification (critical "must have", pinch points etc.) and ensure this is passed on and understood by the supplier
Ensure supplier complies to the customer specification when manufacturing equipment
Prepare project documentation and liaising with the relevant engineering subject matter experts to retain the correct information to include in these documentations
Monitor all aspects of the project and its progress (from post-sale to installation and commissioning)
Update stakeholders regarding delays and implications of delays financially/timewise etc.
Update contracts team of delays and therefore delays to payment of invoices related to reaching engineering milestones and whether they are at risk from applying any penalties for being behind schedule and what can be done to reduce this
Ensure relevant personnel review information when required
Ensure engineers/sub-contractors are available and scheduled when required and check for issues/risks associated with each stage of the project and mitigate risk
Be the key communication point internally and externally this includes all subject matter experts involved in the project, along with facilitating communication between supplier and customer to ensure both needs are met
Experience/skills required - Project Engineer
Communication - must be diplomatic, able to communicate well verbally/written particularly when under pressure/busy
Technically adverse - understand client engineering specifications, understand information provided by the subject matter experts etc.
Multi-tasking - previous project management or coordination of projects
Excellent attention to detail
Confident - able to have difficult conversations and deal with any conflicting issues
Flexible to travel as the role requires (an average of 1 night away from home a month and every 3-6 months 1-2 weeks away)
Package/benefits:
£30,000 - £35,000 basic
Company and performance bonus totalling an average of £6,000
Overnight stay allowance

Lunch allowance (when out in the field)
Pool car available for when visiting customer sites
Overtime paid for any hours over 39 per week
