One of the UK's leading suppliers of high-end sterilisation and quality process equipment is now recruiting for a Project Engineer to join their technical engineering team to work alongside their technical experts.
They are a prestigious, niche business working exclusively with 3 Italian manufactures who work with a number of high-status pharmaceutical organisations carrying service, repair and installation on sterile process equipment such as steam sterilisers, isolators and steam generators.
Role & Responsibilities - Project Engineer - Redhill
As the Project Engineer you will act as the interface between supplier (Italian OEMs) and the companies customers (pharmaceutical manufacturers), from the initial build of equipment through to delivery/installation on site. You are to ensure everything moves along ahead/on schedule and take action on any issues.
Liaise between all parties during equipment build so that agreed timescales are respected, all parties are kept aware of the progress achieved and planned.
Perform technical reviews of URS and other specifications post sale in the creation of project documentation and clarification of post-sale queries.
Take part in internal and external DQ, HAZOP and site meetings where required.
Preparing project documentation (e.g. FAT and validation protocols) to support the project.
Track of all aspects of the project from documentation issue and review to FAT punch list close out and project sitework final de-snagging and completion.
Act as direct customer support during the project.
Providing Contract Managers with information to ensure invoices raised for equipment stage payments or commissions in timely manner, any payments to suppliers also made at appropriate stages.

Take part in weekly project department meetings with fellow project engineers reviewing the weeks work, updating schedules, and assisting other project engineers where possible.
Organise shipping as required, monitor progress, and keep customer advised of likely delivery date
Site supervision of the engineers or sub-contractors where appropriate.
Experience/qualifications required - Project Engineer
Communication - must be diplomatic, able to communicate well verbally/written particularly when under pressure/busy
Technically adverse - understand client engineering specifications, understand information provided by the subject matter experts etc.
Multi-tasking - previous project management or coordination of projects
Excellent attention to detail
Confident - able to have difficult conversations and deal with any conflicting issues
Flexible to travel as the role requires
HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline (mechanical, electronics, electrical, aeronautical, chemical etc.)
£30,000 - £40,000 basic
Company and performance bonus totalling an average of £6,000
Overnight stay allowance
Lunch allowance (when out in the field)
Pool car available for when visiting customer sites
Overtime paid for any hours over 39 per week
