An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineering Manager to work within engineering management on various defence projects and products.
You will be a highly experienced engineering manager, accustomed with working on large and complex systems within the defence industry.
As a Project Engineering Manager your key accountabilities will include:
Day-to-day management of multi-disciplined Engineering teams, ensuring that roles and tasks are clearly defined and understood.
Setting of goals, appraisal of core staff and agreeing project specific training needs.
Liaise closely with System Design Authority to ensure technical integrity of programmes.
Establish and maintain good lines of communication across the Engineering IPT and upwards to the IPT lead
Management of the Engineering technical quality, schedule and budget.
Management of cost adherence to the programme budgets. Work Package cost management for project control and reporting.
Technical point of contact and liaison point for key customer organisations.
Technical interface and management of programme's contractors & sub-contractors.
Configure and maintain performance measures and matrixes for the area.
Project Engineering Manager - Skills and Qualifications:
Degree qualified or equivalent
Experience of engineering team management in a challenging environment
Good problem-solving ability
Good schedule and budget control.
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, across multiple sites/locations
Strong leadership competency but also can demonstrate team-working skills.
Knowledge of engineering lifecycle and business process
