A world-leading aerospace and defence organisation are looking to recruit a Project Manager to state and plan small to medium size contracts or packages of larger contracts.
The role may also involve activities related to the winning of new and follow-on business.
Key responsibilities of a Project Manager will include:
+ Outline and maintain the Project Management Plan
+ Monitor and control of all activities and costs, defining and implementing corrective actions
+ Maintain accountability for the cost, schedule and technical performance of the programme. Anticipate and manage dependencies, risk and opportunities in support of increase business performance.
+ Schedule maintenance and adherence including milestone tracking metrics, critical path analysis
+ Conduct effective risk and opportunity management, ensuring all risks and opportunities are recorded, managed and tracked.
+ Day to day customer point of contact for programme and technical enquiries
Skills and knowledge required:
+ Project and risk management skills and knowledge
+ Management experience covering financial, commercial, engineering and project areas
+ Working knowledge of MS Project
+ The ability to pick up new tool sets and processes, with good analytical skills
+ Ability to analyse schedule and cost data for impending difficulties and clearly communicate to the Project Manager/Programme Manager
