These roles require experienced, preferably qualified or certified (or candidates who can demonstrate equivalent experience) Project Managers with a proven track record in either Applications or Infrastructure Delivery and/or Integration projects.

A background in Engineering or knowledge of Citrix based deliveries is also advantageous although not essential.

Skills and Experience:

+ Project managers are leaders first and foremost. The PM's drive and leadership delivers a project. Your JOB is to lead your team as well as manage your project or Programme.

+ Project RAG status must be reported accurately. RED will result in 'change' at some level. AMBER is 'at risk' and will be unlikely to be recoverable without change (note that use of Risk/contingency budget or scope reduction is 'change') or will move to RED. All Red and Amber projects must have a 'Go to Green' plan in place and reporting the 'Go to Green' activities in project/programme status reports & Presage.

+ Ensure that you know what you own (scope/quality), the budget you have been given (cost) and your deadlines (time) and those are committed to by your team and agreed with your chain of command. Dates Matter. You are expected to deliver to them.

+ Commit to dealing with escalations and deal with them as a priority (even if you have to escalate). Make sure your own escalations are accepted by who you are escalating to. Escalate in 24, resolve in 48.

+ Know your client - Ensure that you understand who you have a relationship with in the client organisation and understand the formalities of that relationship - particularly how you commit to the client (Do not make a clear commitment unless you are 100% sure you have approval to do so)

Skills and Experience:

+Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.
