Project Manager - Tooling - Hampshire

Salary: £350 - £360 per day

Project Manager - Tooling

Whilst toolsets have been deployed within the company estate, substantial further work is required to ensure that they function as a holistic solution that delivers the expected efficiencies. They require enhancement, configuration and tuning to be effective for support teams, service management and other stakeholders.

Roll and Responsibility:

+ Resolution of outstanding technical issues with toolsets and associated infrastructure to ensure toolsets deliver as envisaged.

+ Completion of activities that were in the original design and are deemed to still be required.

+ Oversight of the development / design and implementation of any functionality which was missing from the original design, as determined by the projects' Service/Technical Architects.

+ Oversight of the revision of any functionality necessary to meet the business requirement.

+ Identification of support team requirements and where the toolset configuration/tuning and automation will provide efficiencies.

+ Implementation of mechanisms to ensure toolset requirements and enhancement are formally captured, prioritised and developed.

+ Liaison with toolset vendors as required.

+ Understanding of licensing costs and costs associated with enhancements.

+ Ensuring that design decisions are made in the context of an end to end toolset solution.

Job Purpose & Accountability:

Experienced project manager with a background of working with network technologies and experience of project managing toolset / application solution improvements/enhancements.

Must have the ability to:

+ Understand toolset functionality within a complex suite of toolsets.

+ Prioritise and manage multiple activities across a number of toolsets deployed within a complex toolset environment.

+ Interface with and influence internal teams, obtain commitment and buy-in to required deliverables.

+ Deal with toolset vendors in order to achieve requirements whilst minimising GC expenditure.

+ Create and maintain a project plan and associated finances in accordance with company standards.

+ Manage technical and service resources to deliver against plan.

+ Minimum SC security clearance.

Skills - Useful:

* Previous experience in delivering in a multiple security / MOD Environment.

* Previous knowledge of EMC Smarts, SevOne and CA Service desk.
