Infrastructure Project Manager x2

Remote role

4-6 month initial contract

£480-£520 per day DOE

*Must hold active SC Clerarance to gain access to client site

Job Description

  • Responsible for the delivery of remaining infrastructure elements of a high secure service and readiness for transition into Operational support.

  • Management of a large team of engineers to execute deliverables against an aggressive schedule underpinned by strong project management practices such as scheduling, risk/issue management, forecasting, reporting, etc.

Required Skills

  • Strong background in successful delivery of high complex and secure infrastructure projects

  • Strong background of remote management of Engineering Teams, maximizing output

  • Proven achievements delivering outcomes on time within a complex environment

Require strong core project management skills including but not limited to:

  • Understanding and management of scope and change control

  • Ability to produce a project schedule from scope document and inputs from customer and third parties utilising Microsoft Project including resource forecast

  • Strong finance management against set project budget and forecast commitments

  • Risk / Issue / Opportunity identification and management

  • Strong Customer facing and management skills

  • Management of 3rd parties

  • Project execution reporting for both internal and customer

  • Management of engineering teams within a matrix organisation

  • Experience working within UK Secure environments highly desirable

Proven experience in delivering successful projects in the following areas;

  • Servers (Windows, Unix, Linux) - both physical and virtual

  • Hyper-V

  • VMware

  • Networks - LAN / WAN, Firewalls, Load balancing, etc

  • Data centre installations

  • Storage / SAN (pref 3par)

  • Database (Oracle and SQL)

  • Active Directory

  • Backups (pref Data Protector)

  • Messaging (pref Exchange), Trend, SharePoint experience

  • End user experience (pref Citrix and Appsense)

  • Security services such are ArcSight
