A manufacturer of engine components for heavy-duty military and farming vehicles are seeking a Quality Engineer, ideally with prior experience within the automotive industry (although experience in other highly regulated industries will be considered). Duties of the Quality Engineer:
The role of the Quality Engineer is to help improve manufacturing lines & assembly processes, to reduce waste and product quality. By analysing and identifying quality issues through root cause and preventative actions planning this is a high impact role. A knowledge of problem solving and quality tools is essential. With customers and suppliers across the globe there is an exciting opportunity to travel with this role.
Assist with customer related quality issues
Deal with customer complaints and take correct actions
Identify problems using CAPA & 8D
Maintain Quality systems
Assist with PPAP documentation for customer approvals
Knowledge & Experience:
Experience with electro-mechanical sub-assemblies & components
Knowledge of ISO16949, ISO9001
Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, FMEA
Understanding of GD&T (geometric dimensioning & tolerances
Well versed in problem solving tools such as 8D, 5WHY, Ishikawa
