A world leader within the detection technology market is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their busy Quality Department. This globally recognised company can offer you the opportunity to work for a business that will develop your career, with a focus on long term career progression.
You will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and development of the QMS and provide the Quality Lead in NPI and engineering development. The role will also require you to resolve customer complaints through Root Cause Analysis, corrective and preventative actions.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Experience with New Product Introduction responsibilities desirable.
Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100 and ISO14001 standards also desirable
Trained Auditor to ISO9000
Quality representative in the New Product Introduction (NPI) design and development and Engineering Change Order processes.
Ensure that the quality requirements are defined, documented and implemented as defined by the NPI and Engineering Change Order process.
Proficient at interpreting Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Drawings.
Ensure that critical to quality items are defined, documented and controlled.
Provide Quality Plans, Control Plans and input into product verification and validation plans. When required APQP, input into DFMEA and PFMEA
3-5 years' experience as a Quality Engineer or Quality Manager in an Engineering Environment (preferably automotive or aerospace)
Higher National Diploma or Degree in Engineering/Science discipline.
