A leading manufacturing company in the design of transmission systems are currently looking for a Quality Engineer to join their Quality department. The role is available due to strong company growth.
This is a high impact role in which you will be responsible for continuous improvement throughout the company but mainly in the manufacturing and assembly areas. Experience with electronic components and the ability to read electronic engineering drawings would be advantageous.
Duties & responsibilities
Conduct product/process, capability and patrol/ sample audits within the manufacturing units.
Investigating product non-conformities identify trends and ensure timely resolution using 8D;
Root cause analysis, corrective action and verify that all actions have been implemented successfully and effectively.
Identify risks relating to performance and their quality management system,
Plan and perform audits at supplier locations.
Drive all audit related corrective actions to completion; escalate inaction within the business.
Take a role in quality issues raised by customers and the effective use of quality tools to investigate and define root cause and permanent corrective action via a cross functional team to closure.
Working knowledge of quality systems and processes: APQP, FMEA, control plans, MSA, 8D, and 6 sigma.
