A cutting edge Aerospace & Defence organisation have a unique opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join their Operations team.
The Quality Engineer will assure that the customer requirements are addressed through development and production and that the supply of conforming products, manufactured to controlled operational process, is achieved. To ensure Continuous Improvement through project lifecycle processes, the Quality Engineer will identify and facilitate Continuous Improvement projects through Green Belt / Kaizen training events.
Key Responsibilities
Complete all relevant quality documents required both by the customer and the business
Support customer and team meetings
Support the Design/Process FMEAs
Progress and review the project NCFs, PPs and 8Ds
Review production documents for compliance and feedback to teams when required
Involvement in the generation of process control, maintaining quality records and databases
Complete internal, external and Flash Audits as required
Identify and facilitate Continuous Improvement projects
Skills & Experience
Hold a minimum of an HNC (or equivalent) qualification in an engineering discipline
Have training in Lean 6 Sigma Green Belt methodology
Have experience of working with an accredited quality standard
Have knowledge of continuous improvement and problem solving techniques: FAI, 8D, SPS, 5s etc
The candidate should have good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team, communicating at all levels, including with customers and suppliers.
Hold a qualification and be experienced in product and process auditing
