A leading Aerospace and Defence organisation are looking for a Quality Engineer to be responsible for all aspects of quality assurance activities.

These activities will include -

+ Provide assistance in maintaining the company's internal Quality Management System audit schedule.

+ Conduct internal Quality Management System audits.

+ Create & maintain internal process Flash Audit schedule.

+ Conduct process Flash Audits.

+ Provide process Flash Audit training to Quality & shop floor Personnel.

+ Provide 8D problem solving awareness training.

+ Assess existing Quality Management System elements & advise on systemic improvements.

+ Maintain Quality Records and databases.

+ NCF investigations, root cause analyses and improvement activities.

Skills and knowledge required -

+ Hold a minimum of an HNC qualification in an engineering discipline.

+ Hold a Lead Auditor qualification.

+ Have experience of working within an AS 9100 accredited business system.

+ Knowledge of 8D problem solving techniques, FAIR, 8D, SPC, 5S.

+ Experience of working in an aerospace environment, with knowledge and understanding of customer/ MoD requirements and standards.

+ The candidate should have good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team, or work unsupervised.

+ Be able to communicate at all levels, Senior Management, shop floor, customers & suppliers.
