Job Title: R&D Technician
The UK's leading independent Research and Development Company are looking for an experienced R&D Technician to join their team to help improve efficiency and certain functionalities.
Due to the expansion of the company along with the increased demand for business, we are looking for a R&D Technician to join our team.
Hours Required: 37.5 per Week, Monday to Thursday (08:00 - 1645) Fridays (08:00 - 15:45).
R&D Technician key roles and responsibilities:
Test schedules to ensure that design complies with product design requirements and functionality specifications.
Working mainly on Control Panels and Smoke Detectors.
Continually monitor the job from inception to completion.
Support the R&D team in aspects of the design process as and when required.
Able to follow strict test regimes and report results in a professional and concise manner.
To use detailed product/system specifications to generate test schedules.
General fault diagnostics & reporting of fault scenarios.
Setting up of test environments testing methodologies and procedures.
To pick up the backlog of work.
R&D Technician will need the following skills and experience:
Experience of system testing in a R&D environment.
Knowledge of Fire Alarm systems.
Circuit Design/Electronics understanding - HNC/HND.
High level of computer literacy skills.
Undergo training as required by the company and display the ability to learn.
Efficient time management and prioritisation of certain tasks.
Knowledge of Fire detection standards, such as EN54 will be an advantage.
Excellent communication skills.
Moderate experience required.
Multi-disciplined and capable of delivering Technical capabilities.
