A very well established children's residential service is looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Manager to work in their Essex home which support young people with EBD needs.

Location - you will be working in Essex, a driving license is essential - they have on-site parking


Hours - Monday - Friday - 37 hours a week - with weekends being worked when needed - you will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the home - you will receive an on call allowance for this

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Make sure the project meets all of the requirements of this nationwide charity and the regulating bodies expectations of a good, outstanding or equivalent service.

  • You will be inspiring, leading and encouraging a team of support workers - making sure the site is always covered by enough staff

  • Lead and be accountable for the achievement of positive outcomes for children and drive continuous improvement by using performance data and evidence-based outcome measures in line with our client's requirements

  • You will be managing and be responsible for all aspects of the home - making sure the team provide a high-quality service throughout the home to the children, young people and their families

  • You will need to provide thorough planning, review and monitoring of police, practice and procedure throughout the service

  • You will be providing regular supervision and performance reviews to the staff members reporting to you.

  • You will be ensuring the home is a safe and positive environment for those who are living there, working there or visiting. Meeting this with achieving compliance with all safeguarding, safer recruitment, H&S policy and procedure.

  • Manage a delegated budget, ensuring effective and efficient management expenditure in the home in line with policy and procedure as well as financial requirements.

The Successful Candidate will:

  • Have experience working with vulnerable children and young adults in management position

  • Hold a QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or equivalent (desirable)

  • Hold a great knowledge of safeguarding with previous experience working with service users with challenging behaviour, complex health needs and learning disabilities
