Registered Manager (Children & Young Adults)

Location - Surrey

Salary - Up to £36000

Hours - Full time

I'm working with a children's charity with services all over the UK. 2 of these establishments are looking for a Registered Manager. Both homes are needing a passionate, committed, motivated and experienced individual to manage the home.

As a leading provider of high quality specialist residential services to vulnerable children and young adults, who have complex needs, learning difficulties and in some cases, challenging behaviour, as the Residential Manager you will provide the overall management of the service ensuring compliance of national standards, policies, procedures and expectations.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure the service meets all the requirements of the charity and the regulating bodies expectations of a good, outstanding or equivalent service

  • Provide robust planning, review and monitoring of policy, practice and procedure throughout the service

  • Lead and be accountable for the achievement of positive outcomes for children and drive continuous improvement by using performance data and evidence based outcome measures in line with our clients requirements

  • Manage and be responsible for all aspects of the home, ensuring the team provides innovative, responsive, high quality and person centred services to children and young people and their families

  • Lead, inspire, motivate and manage a team of residential and support staff, ensuring the service is appropriately staffed and covered at all times

  • Provide regular supervision and performance reviews to direct reports

  • Ensure the provision of a safe and positive environment achieving compliance with all safeguarding, safer recruitment, H&S policy and procedure

  • Manage a delegated budget, ensuring effective and efficient management expenditure in the home in line with policy and procedure as well as financial requirements.

The Successful Candidate will:

  • Be solution focused with a can do attitude

  • Have experience working with vulnerable children and young adults in management position

  • Have a current DBS or the ability to obtain an enhanced DBS to work with children

  • Hold a QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or equivalent (desirable)

  • Hold a QFC In Health and Social Care with Children

  • Have a good knowledge of safeguarding, previous experience managing service users with autism and challenging behaviour and have a full current driving licence.

Due to the location of our client it would be highly desireable for applicants to be a driver with a full UK drivers license and access to a vehicle.
