Job Summary:
Forward Plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio
Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations
Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates
Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes
Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
Weekly Release Reporting
Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
Work with release engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges
Maintains the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
Core Job Functions
Create and communicate Release Metrics used to identify gaps and trends.
Identify risk to Releases and communicate to the Project Managers, Test Managers and other Domain leaders.
Help identify and implement new process improvements. Assist in existing process improvements. Follow all processes and procedures.
Conduct training for new team members.
Build and manage relationships and ensure customer/client satisfaction
Essential Qualifications / Experience
Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, engineering, management information systems, or computer science, or related field preferred
ISTQB Foundation certification or similar
Additional ISTQB specialism (Mobile, Agile or similar) or Intermediate certificate
Six or more years of software testing experience
Three or more years of leading small teams
Two or more years of project management or similar role with degree of independence of action and control
Robust release management skillset
Willingness to travel
Desirable Experience
Project Management exposure - to guide others in Test Team
Business Analysis skills - able to teach
Structured Requirements Analysis methods - able to teach
Work on large scale and/or government projects
