Remedy ITSM Consultant - SC Cleared - Remote - £500 a day

You will join a global IT consultancy who are delivering digital transformation to a government agency. You will be an experienced ITSM tooling consultant and hands on practitioner specialising in BMC Remedy. This key role is fundamental to ensuring the successful transition from existing end of life ITSM tooling to a modern toolset deployed within Microsoft Azure.

You will:

+ Build out all required modules of the new ITSM tool based on articulated requirements and existing system configuration.

+ Make proactive recommendations about how improvements can be made to the new tooling compared to the existing configuration. Please note this is NOT a migration activity the new tool will be configured from scratch.

+ Create, update and manage documentation that details how the ITSM tool is configured including but not limited to workflows all for incidents and requests.

+ Work from a backlog of improvements and configuration demands. Work proactively with required stakeholders (including customer teams) to understand the demand, plan, design, configure, build configuration within the toolset.

Essential Skills:

+ Experience working with market leading ITSM tooling, BMC product knowledge is advantageous.

+ Practitioner level knowledge of IT Service Management Tooling.

+ A hands on proactive approach to configuring the toolset based upon specified requirements.

+ A clear understanding of key IT Service Management concepts (Incident Management, Service Request Management, Configuration Management, Asset Management, Availability Management and Service Level Management) and the impact ITSM tooling can have in developing operational efficiencies in these areas.

+ Ability to work to tight timescales and prioritise workload.

Desirable

+ ITIL V3 Foundation

+ ITIL V4 Awareness

+ Awareness of agile methodology including working off a backlog.

+ Knowledge and experience of working in a Cloud environment (MS Azure knowledge advantageous).

+ An understanding of the Service Integration and Management (SIAM) model.
