Field Service Coordinator

Salary up to £25k

Office and home based

A leading manufacturer and supplier of medical equipment are seeking an experienced Scheduling Co-ordinator or Planner to support a team of UK wide Field Service Engineers.

Role & Responsibilities

Coordinating repairs and servicing of customers medical equipment and delivering best in class customer service.

  • Scheduling routine planned maintenances
  • Taking ownership for the Scheduling of repairs following triage by Technical Help Desk
  • Scheduling upgrades
  • Organising transport and packaging
  • Coordinating repairs that require 3rd level support to our european Head Office
  • Organising relocations
  • Maintaining communication throughout the customer journey to ensure they are updated with progress or any changes by telephone and email
  • Sending professional and informative confirmations to the customers of when work is scheduled
  • Part ordering using SAP
  • Liaising with internal departments to acquire customer enquiry resolutions
  • Liaise with engineers daily regarding schedules including call backs after site visits
  • Raising relevant transactions within CRM
  • Organising and managing loan availability for service
  • Maintaining customer and transactional data within our Customer Relations Management Database (CRM & SAP)
  • Any other Scheduling tasks as directed by the Scheduling Manager

Hours Mon-Fri, hours can slightly change depending on rota to ensure phone lines are always covered, could be 8am - 4.30pm or 9 - 5.30pm.

2 days office in Cambourne, Cambridgeshire and 3 days WFH (but initial 4 weeks in office full time for training/build relationships)

Experience/skills Required

The successful Coordinator will have;

  • Previous Scheduling Coordinator experience is required
  • Excellent geographical knowledge is essential on a UK national level
  • Excellent telephone manner is required
  • Fluent in English with excellent literacy skills
  • Microsoft Office Skills at an intermediate level
  • CRM & SAP experience is preferred but not essential
  • Previous experience working to KPI's is preferred but not essential


  • Salary: £25,000
  • Package: Private pension, Medicash plans, life assurance, Private healthcare
  • Bonus (based on KPIs, paid at xmas, paid as a % of salary but never been less than equivalent of 1 months pay)
  • Flexi-time - can bank hours to add to leave
  • 25 days AL (3 days must be taken over xmas shut down)
  • No paid overtime but occasionally available if really busy
