The company:

A UK leading provider of medical engineering maintenance services are seeking a specialist biomedical engineer with extensive experience working on anaesthesia and ventilator equipment based in the London area.


They are one of the largest managed service providers in the UK and can offer excellent progression and career growth.

Job information:

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop and support an in-house skill set to manage specialist equipment, namely (but not restricted to) Anaesthesia and Ventilator equipment.

  • If required be first line support and mentor if needed identified site and field-based engineers to enable daily on-site repair, preventative maintenance and asset management of specialist medical devices within hospital locations.

  • Travel as required and develop relationships with customer representatives in this specialist area, promoting confidence and competence in the management of these technologies.

  • Perform actual servicing and repairs as needed. To develop and foster relationships with specialist medical device OEMs to both manage external service contracts as well as enhance our ability to service these devices in house with parts, training and interventions as required.

  • Work with and support operational leaders and Managers in achieving contract KPIs.

  • To complete all associated administrative work in completing repairs and preventative maintenance

  • Work within the Quality Assurance and Environmental, Health & Safety policies.

  • Support customers whenever needed to ensure minimal disruption to the operation of the hospital.

  • Build long-term relationships with customers, subcontractors and staff to ensure responsiveness and support to customers.

Experience/skills required:

  • Extensive experience in servicing and repairing ventilators and anaesthesia equipment, ideally had manufacture training

  • Excellent communication

  • Good customer service skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Package/benefits:

  • £43,500 - £47,000 (depending on experience)
